leather work
leather work

Both as part of and unrelated to armour I do a fair amount of custom leather work,

including pouches, scabbard and belts.  Here is a few examples of pieces that I've done.

Sword scabbard, this particular piece was done for a blade by a local smith, the core is steam bent 3/32" thick hickory planks.  I ussualy do not use hickory but it was supplied by the customer and wanted for sentimental reasons.  For the most part the scabbard design is basedof 13c styles, while adding the metal locket to blend with the asthitics of the sword.
